The Cowboys announcement Tuesday about a new sponsorship deal with Black Rifle Coffee sparked backlash on social media, with the franchise drawing criticism for partnering with a company that uses gun-centric signage and product labels such as “AK-47 Espresso Blend” and “Murdered Out Coffee Roast.”

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who in statement to The Dallas Morning News said the team plans to sell Black Rifle products at AT&T Stadium this season, touted the veteran-owned business’s philanthropic work with military members and first responders.
