Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have exploded in popularity.

It seems you can’t go two hours without hearing about them from your little cousin or seeing a tweet about them. In fact, Jack Dorsey, former Twitter Inc. TWTR boss and current CEO of Block Inc. SQ sold the first-ever tweet as an NFT for $2.9 million.

The digital artist Beeple sold a work entitled “Everydays: The First 5000 Days” for an eye-popping $69.3 million at an auction hosted by the famous Christie’s. Digital art and NFTs are now fetching prices in line with works from the great Dutch masters.

Celebrities have seemingly taken note, and many are trying to build their own tokens or release some sort of NFT project based on their brand. However, this can be a confusing and highly technical process — one that evades many people’s abilities or resources.

TiiCKER, a shareholder rewards and brand loyalty company, says it hopes to help celebrities, brands and everyday people do just that. TiiCKER states that it understands the value of a personal brand — it built its business on helping publicly traded brands build customer loyalty by connecting shareholders with special perks. And now, through a program called Tii:MARK, the company is hoping to help connect NFTs with personal brands.

The platform will provide individuals with an NFT of their own personal ticker symbol. You can own a ticker symbol just like major publicly traded companies and connect it with who you are. The symbol is a unique set of one to four letters that follows “Tii.” Just like Inc. AMZN has “AMZN” which follows the exchange it’s listed on, your personal ticker identifies you and only you. This could be an interesting opportunity for celebrities to market themselves and their personal brands.

NFTs are non-fungible, meaning they are not interchangeable. They are unique, one of a kind — creating an immutable digital record of individuality and ownership.

Owning a Tii:MARK NFT will link to a unique landing page. Ownership, along with the exact minting date, will be validated and recorded on the blockchain. Along with this, NFT owners will receive a 2-inch engraved coin.
