STEUBENVILLE — Grab-and-Go Mystery for adults starts Oct. 1 at all library locations. Stop in to pick up a grab-and-go bag that contains a mystery book, disposable coffee cup and spices to make a pumpkin-flavored coffee.
The mystery continues inside with a recipe that has a missing ingredient. “Don’t worry — we’ll enclose a clue for you to find it,” a spokesperson said.
It’s “Welcome back, Hogwarts,” as Grab-and-Go Harry Potter kits are ready for pick-up on Monday at all library locations. “Find everything you need to test your magical skills.”
A new StoryWalk book begins at Beatty Park. Starting Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, families can read “This Is a Taco” by Andrew Cangelose. Take children to the main library to pick up a prize after they finish reading the book.

Visit the library to sit down and sample a new book to take home at a “Book Tasting” on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. “It’s a three-course meal of horror, thriller and true crime books that will be showcased with a restaurant feel,” the spokesperson said.
Light refreshments will be available. Registration is required.
Learn all about Cryptocurrency with Gene Zrinyi of Tri-State Financial Services on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Register in advance.
Children: Kids can paint an emoji face at the library on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. It’s for children ages 6-13. Register in advance.
