Carr hits 10 3s, scores 41, No. 6 Texas beats A&M-Commerce
Marcus Carr tied a Texas record with 10 3-pointers and matched his career high with 41 points as the sixth-ranked Longhorns beat Texas A&M-Commerce 97-72 on Tuesday night. Carr, a senior, previously scored 41 while playing for Minnesota against Nebraska on Feb. 27, 2021. Texas (11-1) played its fourth straight game without coach Chris Beard, who was suspended without pay after his Dec. 12 arrest on a felony family violence charge.

NextDecade increases LNG supply volume in deal with China’s ENN
U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer NextDecade Corp announced it will increase the volume of LNG supplies in a sales and purchase agreement signed with China’s ENN Natural Gas Co. Ltd.. Under the agreement, ENN via a wholly-owned subsidiary ENN LNG (Singapore) Pte Ltd, will now purchase 2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, up 0.5 mtpa from the original agreement, according to a statement by NextDecade dated Tuesday. All supply volumes will come from the first three trains at NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG export project (RGLNG) in Brownsville, Texas on a free-on-board basis, and will be indexed to the Henry Hub.

UPDATE 1-Crypto exchange Kraken to stop operations in Japan
U.S.-based crypto exchange Kraken said on Wednesday it would cease its operations in Japan next month, citing the current market conditions in the country and a weak crypto market globally. Kraken will deregister from the Financial Services Agency (JFSA) as of Jan. 31, by which time clients would have to withdraw their fiat and crypto holdings, it said in a statement. Kraken said it is fully funded to ensure that all affected clients could withdraw their assets in a timely manner.

When we’ll begin warming up, and when the rain will arrive
We’ve been saying it to start the week, but nice weather is on the way! Looking ahead for today and the rest of the week, we’ll have temps in the 20s move out quickly and get into the upper 30s with brighter skies by the afternoon. The winds will be breezy up to 20 mph in some spots, and temps will fall back into the 20s tonight. Looking ahead to Thursday, we warm up quickly with temps in the upper 30s in the morning and around 46 degrees by the middle o the afternoon and staying in the mid 40s through the evening. We’ll get into the 50s on Friday but there will be steady rain, and those showers will linger into the weekend with temps in the mid 40s.
