Melbourne crypto exchange Cointree has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Melbourne Storm, less than a week after rival exchange Swyftx signed a deal with the league itself.
The multimillion-dollar partnership will see Cointree’s logo occupy the sternum of player training shirts for the rest of the 2022 season, and relocate to the front and back of playing shorts for the next two seasons.
“We are excited to not only see the Cointree logo running out on the field over the next three seasons, but to work with the entire Melbourne Storm community, increasing their knowledge and education on the digital asset fast becoming a popular mainstream investment,” said Cointree chief operating officer Jessica Renden.
She said that Cointree was the first Australian exchange to introduce a dedicated crypto learning hub, something also noted by Storm chief executive Justin Rodski.
“Cointree has a genuine commitment to supporting education and learning as part of their platform, and we are really excited to be partnering with the Cointree team as we begin this exciting journey together.”

To celebrate the partnership, Storm fans are getting the opportunity to win $1500 in crypto favoured by players Ryan Papenhuyzen, Jahrome Hughes and Chris Lewis. (Apparently, Papenhuyzen likes Ethereum, Hughes is an XRP fanboy while Lewis is a Bitcoiner).
